DESCRIPTION:Proposed qualifying Meet – Doors open 9am\, Warm up 9:15am\, Racing starts 10am \n\n\n\n\n2026 MDASA All Junior Selections \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDownload Flyer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis competition is held to select swimmers to compete for the Midlands District 16 at the Semi-Finals of the Country All Junior competition to be held at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on Saturday 21st March 2026. \n\n\n\nRegistered swimmers from clubs not belonging to Midlands District 16 may enter\, but are not eligible for selection to compete for District clubs on Saturday 21st March at MSAC. \n\n\n\nIndividual medal winners in events from the 2025-26 Victorian Sprint Championships\, 2026 Victorian Country LC Championships\, 2026 Victorian Open Championships or 2025-26 Victorian Age Championships may enter\, but are NOT eligible for selection to compete in the Semi-Finals for that STROKE in which the medal was won (regardless of distance). \n\n\n\nSwimmers should inform the Midlands District Entries Officer  if they are not intending to compete in the semi-finals at MSAC in March. \n\n\n\nThe fastest eight (8) eligible swimmers in each event\, for each age group from 8 & under to 16 years will be invited to compete at MSAC. \n\n\n\nAge as on 21/03/2026 (date of Semi-Finals at MSAC) –  NOT age at MDASA Selection Meet.  \n\n\n\nThe ‘One Start’ Rule will apply.                                     \n\n\n\nAll events are 50 metres. \n\n\n\nSwimmers do not have to be registered with a club to compete in the All Junior Meets. \n\n\n\nDisqualification ruling – if a swimmer if disqualified in an event at the MDASA All Junior Selection meet\, they are ineligible to be selected for that event (as per SV rules). \n\n\n\nThe 11/under swimsuit rule applies at this event. \n\n\n\nNominees agree to adhere to the conditions listed in the Meet Flyer. This must be read prior to entering the Meet. \n\n\n\nSwimmers registered with Swimming Victoria must submit entries online via Swim Central \n\n\n\nUnregistered swimmers should contact Midlands District Race Secretary\, entries@midlands-swimming.org.au  \n\n\n\nEntry Fee per event:  $15          \n\n\n\nEntry to Pool – Swimmers:  Free          Spectators:  Free                            \n\n\n\nPrograms will be available through Swim Central and MDASA website \n\n\n\nEntries Close – Monday\, 2nd February 2026 at 6.00pmDirect queries to  entries@midlands-swimming.org.au  \n\n\n\nExemptions  eg.  swimmer away on compulsory school camp\, injury/illness (medical certificate required)\, clash with other sporting commitments \n\n\n\nTo receive an exemption: \n\n\n\n1.) Swimmer must have entered and paid for the event.  \n\n\n\n2.) A letter/email is required including evidence/notice of exemption.   \n\n\n\n3.) Times to be considered must be the best Long Course 50m time\, from within the last 12 months for the relevant stroke(s) (Times can be obtained from Swim Central or Results Central) \n\n\n\nAny exemptions sought outside the criteria will be assessed on their individual merit by the MDASA Executive. \n\n\n\nAll exemption requests to be sent to: Midlands and District Amateur Swimming Association \n\n\n\nVia email to:  secretary@midlands-swimming.org.au

DESCRIPTION:Proposed qualifying Meet – Warm up on completion of All Junior Selections\, Racing starts approx. 30 minutes after finish of All Junior Selections Meet \n\n\n\n\n\n\n2026 MDASA 200/400m Distance Meet \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDownload Flyer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease choose only ONE 400m event and/or ONE 200m event.  MDASA reserves the right to swim events of the same distance at the same time\, depending on entries.    \n\n\n\nOpen to all SAL registered swimmers.  MDASA reserve the right to close entries early to accommodate time constraints.  In the event of the Meet being oversubscribed\, Midlands District swimmers will be given priority.     \n\n\n\nTo ensure that this meet is recognised as a Qualifying Meet a minimum of two timekeepers will be required for each lane. However\, only members of Midlands District 16 clubs will gain Championships points or medals.  By entering this event\, all nominees agree to adhere to the ‘Conditions of Entry’ listed below: \n\n\n\nDistrict Championship information: \n\n\n\n\nSwimmers must have been registered with a Midlands District Club for at least 6 weeks prior to the Championships to be eligible for Medals\, Points and Awards in District Championship events. \n\n\n\nMidlands District swimmers must swim at least TWO individual championship events to be eligible for ANY Midlands District Trophy or Award.  \n\n\n\nMedals will be awarded to the fastest three swimmers\, in each 13 & Under Individual Event\n\n\n\nIt is the swimmer’s responsibility to collect medals on the day of the competition. No medals will be available for later collection.\n\n\n\nDistrict Age Group Champion Trophies for the top point scoring Male and Female swimmer in each of the following age groups 9/U\, 10/11\, 12/13\, 14/15\, 16/17 & 18/O (presented at MDASA Awards night)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRelay information: \n\n\n\n\nRelay entry via Swim Central. Alternatively\, TM files or manual entry welcome for Relay entries ONLY.
