DESCRIPTION:Proposed qualifying Meet – Doors open 9am\, Warm up 9:15am\, Racing starts 10am \n\n\n\n\n2026 MDASA Championships \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$ 20   per relay \n\n\n\n\n\n\nDownload Flyer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAny Swimmer registered with a Victorian club may compete in this Meet. However\, only members of Midlands District 16 clubs will gain Championships points or medals.  By entering this event\, all nominees agree to adhere to the ‘Conditions of Entry’ listed below: \n\n\n\nDistrict Championship information: \n\n\n\n\nSwimmers must have been registered with a Midlands District Club for at least 6 weeks prior to the Championships to be eligible for Medals\, Points and Awards in District Championship events. \n\n\n\nMidlands District swimmers must swim at least TWO individual championship events to be eligible for ANY Midlands District Trophy or Award.  \n\n\n\nMedals will be awarded to the fastest three swimmers\, in each 13 & Under Individual Event\n\n\n\nIt is the swimmer’s responsibility to collect medals on the day of the competition. No medals will be available for later collection.\n\n\n\nDistrict Age Group Champion Trophies for the top point scoring Male and Female swimmer in each of the following age groups 9/U\, 10/11\, 12/13\, 14/15\, 16/17 & 18/O (presented at MDASA Awards night)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRelay information: \n\n\n\n\nRelay entry via Swim Central. Alternatively\, TM files or manual entry welcome for Relay entries ONLY. DESCRIPTION:Proposed qualifying Meet – Doors open 9am\, Warm up 9:15am\, Racing starts 10am \n\n\n\n\n2026 MDASA All Junior Selections \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDownload Flyer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis competition is held to select swimmers to compete for the Midlands District 16 at the Semi-Finals of the Country All Junior competition to be held at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on Saturday 21st March 2026. \n\n\n\nRegistered swimmers from clubs not belonging to Midlands District 16 may enter\, but are not eligible for selection to compete for District clubs on Saturday 21st March at MSAC. \n\n\n\nIndividual medal winners in events from the 2025-26 Victorian Sprint Championships\, 2026 Victorian Country LC Championships\, 2026 Victorian Open Championships or 2025-26 Victorian Age Championships may enter\, but are NOT eligible for selection to compete in the Semi-Finals for that STROKE in which the medal was won (regardless of distance). \n\n\n\nSwimmers should inform the Midlands District Entries Officer  if they are not intending to compete in the semi-finals at MSAC in March. \n\n\n\nThe fastest eight (8) eligible swimmers in each event\, for each age group from 8 & under to 16 years will be invited to compete at MSAC. \n\n\n\nAge as on 21/03/2026 (date of Semi-Finals at MSAC) –  NOT age at MDASA Selection Meet.  \n\n\n\nThe ‘One Start’ Rule will apply.                                     \n\n\n\nAll events are 50 metres. \n\n\n\nSwimmers do not have to be registered with a club to compete in the All Junior Meets. \n\n\n\nDisqualification ruling – if a swimmer if disqualified in an event at the MDASA All Junior Selection meet\, they are ineligible to be selected for that event (as per SV rules). \n\n\n\nThe 11/under swimsuit rule applies at this event. \n\n\n\nNominees agree to adhere to the conditions listed in the Meet Flyer. DESCRIPTION:Proposed qualifying Meet – Doors open 9am\, Warm up 9:15am\, Racing starts 10am \n\n\n\n\n2024 Midlands District All Junior Selections \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDownload Flyer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDownload Meet Program\n\n\n\nDownload Timeline\n\n\n\nDownload Entry List\n\n\n\nDownload Club Timekeeper Allocation\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis competition is held to select swimmers to compete for the Midlands District 16 at the Semi-Finals of the Country All Junior competition to be held at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on Saturday 16th March 2024. \n\n\n\nRegistered swimmers from clubs not belonging to Midlands District 16 may enter\, but are not eligible for selection to compete for District clubs on Saturday 16th March at MSAC. \n\n\n\nIndividual medal winners in events from the 2024 Victorian Sprint Championships\, 2024 Victorian Country LC Championships\, 2024 Victorian Open Championships or 2024 Victorian Age Championships may enter\, but are NOT eligible for selection to compete in the Semi-Finals for that STROKE in which the medal was won (regardless of distance). \n\n\n\nSwimmers should inform the Midlands District Entries Officer  if they are not intending to compete in the semi-finals at MSAC in March. \n\n\n\nThe fastest eight (8) eligible swimmers in each event\, for each age group from 8 & under to 16 years will be invited to compete at MSAC. \n\n\n\nAge as at date of Semi-Finals at MSAC (NOT age at date of MDASA Selection Meet).  \n\n\n\nThe ‘One Start’ Rule will apply.                                     \n\n\n\nAll events are 50 metres. \n\n\n\nSwimmers do not have to be registered with a club to compete in the All Junior Meets. \n\n\n\nDisqualification ruling – if a swimmer if disqualified in an event at the MDASA All Junior Selection meet\, they are ineligible to be selected for that event (as per SV rules). \n\n\n\nThe 11/under swimsuit rule applies at this event. \n\n\n\nNominees agree to adhere to the conditions listed in the Meet Flyer. Please also advise of approximate arrival time if you will be arriving at the Aquatic Centre later than 5:45pm. \n\n\n\nCheck In – On arrival at the venue\, please mark yourself present on the “Sign in” Sheet.  This should be on a clipboard by the Meet Entry/Exit door.  Please ask an Official if you can’t find it. \n\n\n\nWarm-up – Warm up from 5:30 – 5:50pm in the competition pool.  The competition pool will be cleared at 5:50pm\, ready for racing to start at 6pm.  A lane will be available in the 25m pool (see venue map) throughout the meet for swimmers to warm up and cool down.  Swimmers are asked to please comply with any requests to clear the pool.  All coaches and swimmers should be aware of the general warm up procedures for meets:  Initial warm up with no dive entries\, feet first entry into water.  Swimmers must swim in a clockwise direction.  Starts are to be conducted in lanes 1 and 8 (under coaches’ supervision) for the last 5 minutes of warmup in the competition pool. These are to be treated as walk back lanes.  The request to clear the pool must be obeyed immediately. \n\n\n\nWithdrawals – if you do not intend to swim\, let us know ASAP \n\n\n\n\nPrior to the meet\, please email entries@midlands-swimming.org.au or message 0438 823 965\n\n\n\nAt the meet\, please advise the Recording desk (see venue map)\n\n\n\n\nTimekeepers/ Lap Counter Operators – To ensure that this meet is recognised as a Qualifying Meet a minimum of two timekeepers will be required for each lane.  Additional volunteers are required to operate the lap counters.  It would be appreciated if each swimmer (NOT family) could provide at least one volunteer for the duration of the Meet. This will ensure that we have sufficient resources to run the meet. \n\n\n\nWe will be using the Dolphin Timing System and will be taking Splits Please familiarise yourself with instructions for use which are included in the Meet Program.  Please ask at the Meet if you are unsure.    \n\n\n\nThe instructions for operating the Lap counters are also included in the Meet program. \n\n\n\nResults will be available on Meet Mobile “2023 Midlands District 800m Distance Meet” \n\n\n\nMedals – Medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and female swimmers in the “11 & Under” and “12-13Yrs“ age groups.  Medals can be collected at the conclusion of the Meet. \n\n\n\nPooldeck safety – MDASA requests that pooldeck remains clear at all times\, for the safety of Technical Officials\, and to allow them to operate effectively.  Attendees should not be standing on pool deck\, with the exception of swimmers receiving feedback from their Coach.  Please remain seated as much as possible and be aware that those around you also wish to have a good view of the pool.  Thank you for being courteous and considerate. \n\n\n\nCOVIDSafe – If you are feeling sick or have symptoms of COVID-19\, please DO NOT attend this event.
